Newbury Briefing: Henderson in hat-trick bid for Got One Too.
Got One Too bids for a hat-trick following wins in novice events at Hereford and at this course. Impek may be making his final appearance over hurdles before graduating to chasing. Tikram is fit from a brief, but encouraging, Flat campaign.
Henrietta Knight, trainer of Impek
"This could be his last hurdle race before he goes over fences, but we think he deserves a crack at another good one before he makes the switch. He stayed on quite well last time out at Cheltenham, but I'm not sure that's his ideal course. He'll prefer this flatter track."
Philip Hobbs, trainer of Fait le Jojo
"We've given him a break since he finished distressed last time out at Chepstow and he seems to be fine. We could find nothing particularly amiss and, if he reproduces his best form, he's got a decent chance. The ground won't bother him, as he acts on anything."
Nicky Henderson, trainer of Got One Too
"This is a step-up in class, but the handicapper has put us there. He's in good form and I thought we'd have a go. He won over two miles, three furlongs the other day and halfway through I thought I'd made a mistake, so I'm quite happy about him dropping back to two."
Gary Moore, trainer of Tikram
"I know he's fit enough after his decent fifth in the November Handicap, but I'm a bit worried about the ground. If it hadn't rained, I'd have said he had a real good chance, but I'm not sure how he'll cope if it starts to go really soft."
