NewStep Networks' Executives to Provide Insight on Fixed-Mobile Convergence Solutions at Industry Conference.

Telecom Industry Veterans to Discuss the Value of Advanced Services At Internet Telephony Conference and Expo

TORONTO -- Executives at NewStep Networks, Inc., the market and technology leader in convergence solutions for carriers and enterprises, will provide their perspective and insights on new and emerging telecommunications services at the Internet Telephony Conference.

At the conference this week in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., NewStep executives Neil Baimel and Andre Moskal will lead and participate in panel discussions with industry notables on topics encompassing advanced services, notably the integration of wired and mobile telephony, being rolled out by carriers and service providers.

NewStep Networks' President and Chief Executive Baimel will describe on Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m., the business drivers for consumers and enterprises that seek converged fixed and mobile services. In this presentation entitled, "Making the Business Case for Fixed-Mobile Convergence," Baimel will also tell his audience how to build the business justification and detail the market opportunity for such services.

Baimel leads the development and execution of the company's corporate vision and business strategy. He has over 25 years of experience launching and growing successful technology companies. Before assuming the reins at NewStep, he served as Chairman and CEO of Syndesis, a company he co-founded and grew to become the worldwide leader in service fulfillment software solutions.

Moskal, NewStep Networks' Chief Technology Officer, will be a member of two panel discussions: "The Hottest VoIP Services," Wednesday, January 24 at 10:30 a.m.; and "The Future of Enterprise VoIP Mobility," Tuesday, January 23 at 2:15 p.m.

The VoIP Services session will examine how service providers can offer new revenue streams without impacting existing services. These new revenue sources could be fixed-mobile convergence, conferencing and others. The VoIP Mobility session will look at requirements, architecture and standards for seamlessly converged wired and wireless services.

Moskal, NewStep Networks' CTO, is responsible for the product strategy and technology roadmap addressing fixed-mobile convergence. Prior to his role at NewStep, he served as CTO of Blueslice Networks where he worked on the IMS subscriber profile management solution. In addition, he held technical and leadership roles with SS8 Networks, Nortel, Gandalf and Mitel that provide him with over 20 years of experience developing innovative voice and data networking products.
