New website to benefit UK companies.

A new website has been launched by market development consultancy Food from Britain (FFB) to help British food and drink companies boost their sales and branch out into new markets in the UK and overseas.

The website, which went live on 1 March 2007, is designed to be a onestop-shop for British producers, whether they are looking to build their sales in new international markets or grow the market for quality regional food in the UK. The site will also enable buyers to source information on and make contact with suitable companies that are able to provide the goods or services they require.

Two buyers' guides will provide comprehensive online directories of UK exporters and producers of quality regional food and drink. Buyers wishing to purchase produce from within the UK, or who wish to source from UK exporters, will be able to search from over 4,500 UK companies. The area will then channel users to FFB's network of international office where international buyers can get advice from specific country offices.
