New warning on balconies.

Young people on holiday abroad are being urged to take care on hotel balconies.

One UK national has died and three have been injured this month after falling from a balcony. Last year Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office and travel association Abta launched an awareness campaign after 14 balcony incidents, many of which involved young people and alcohol. There have been seven falls this year and an Abta spokesman said: "As we head into peak summer season we are again urging young holidaymakers to think about the potential risks of balconies. We see too many people permanently injured or worse because they've tried to climb over or dive off."
