TELECOMWORLDWIRE-25 September 2000-New version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux software now available (C)1994-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Kaspersky Lab, an anti-virus software developer with offices in Russia, the UK and South Africa, has launched a new version of its Kaspersky Anti Virus for Linux software.

The latest version is, according to Kaspersky, the world's first anti-virus system to integrate with the Sendmail and Qmail e-mail gateways, enabling the system to perform constant anti-virus filtration for both incoming and outgoing e-mails and to promptly repulse all intrusion of malicious programs through e-mail.

Other enhancements include improved functionality to simplify the program's use and a new interactive user interface.

The new version comprises two editions - one for Linux workstations and another for Linux servers. Both are available now. No price was revealed.
