New trustee joins Red Cross board.

THE British Red Cross has announced Dennis Dunn MBE has joined the organisation as trustee to the board.

Mr Dunn, formerly Cheshire president of the British Red Cross, is a specialist in business information systems and advising universities around the world.

Previously pro vice chancellor international of the Manchester Metropolitan University, he was made honorary fellow of MMU and awarded the MBE by the Queen in 2010 for his services to higher education.

Mr Dunn has acted as specialist advisor to European Commission projects and is former chairman of BITWorld.

Currently he also holds positions as chairman of the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is a deputy lieutenant of Cheshire and served as a magistrate for more than 20 years.
