New truck series.

Thermo King have introduced a new truck refrigeration series, featuring the MD-200 and MD-300.

The new products are suitable for 5-7.5 metre long tracks, and feature improved fuel efficiency, better performance, and more environmentally friendly operation. The MD-200 replaces the existing MD 11, while the MD-300 will succeed the KD-11.

Using the cube saver evaporator, the MD-200 aud MD-300 have been designed to maximise payload space under the evaporator, allowing the operator to get the most out of each journey. In addition, the exclusive space saver condenser provides maximum cab clearance and reduces truck body height on conventional chassis.

Operating costs are kept to a minimum with the MS series' innovative design to minimise maintenance requirements. Using a combination of high quality filters and fluids, oil change intervals are increased to 2,000 hours of operation, and coolant maintenance intervals to 12,000 hours.

Using two high output, belt driven fans in conjunction with Thermo King's Smart Reefer system, the products deliver superior air circulation. eliminating the risk of short cycle air flow, where the cold air may not reach the goods at the rear of the cargo space. The end result is faster temperature pull-down, faster temperature recovery after door openings, and minimal temperature fluctuations.

Another exclusive feature is the TherMax system, which offers faster defrost cycles and superior heating capacity when it is required. There is also an optional Low Decibel Sound Reduction System, and data capture equipment in the form of DAS (Data Acquisition System) and TranScan, which offers a printout at the end of the journey. In addition, remote data downloading is available with R:COM, or for extrasensitive goods, temperatures can be monitored "live" on the web with Trac-King. R:COM works with the FleetWatch software to provide easy uuderstanding of all data reports captured.
