Software provider Macromedia Inc has announced the launch of the upgraded version of its MX product family for web site and application development.

New versions of the Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks tools will be made available together with several other solutions such as Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004. A number of new building blocks will also be made available called MX Elements for Flash, MX Elements for HTML and Halo.

The company claims that the 2004 product family was developed from user feedback and is designed to enable the production of better digital environments.

No pricing information was announced.
