New tenant for 17 State Street.

In a recent leasing transaction brokered by Helmsley-Spear at 17 State Street, Cortese and Associates, Inc., an insurance concern, signed for approximately 4,500 square feet of space. Donna Christine Billera, Helmsley-Spear broker, represented the tenant. Peter Sabesan, vice president, made the announcement.

Located between Whitehall. Pearl and Bridge Streets, 17 State Street rises 30 stories and includes 396,000 square feet. It was built in 1986 by Fox & Fowle architects. Attorney Raymond Sanseverino of Corbin Silverman & Sanseverino represented the landlord.

Cortese and Associates has signed a long-term agreement with an option to renew. They were formerly headquartered at Broad Financial Center.
