New team at IEEE Karachi section unveils its plans.
He said that with your continued support along with all office bearers, we can achieve new milestones for the advancement of Technology for the benefit of society in general and the professional development of our future generations in particular. Specifically, our future plans include creating awareness and motivating our students to work on projects related to Sustainable /Renewable Energy Development, IOT for Industry, IOT for Agriculture, IOT for Smart Cities, Engineering projects in community service.
The IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee (HAC) provides a suite of resources that inspire and enable IEEE volunteers around the world to carry out and support impactful humanitarian technology and sustainable development activities at the local level. Other office bearers elected include Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro as The Section Vice Chair, Prof. Dr. Asimur Rehman as a Section Secretary, and Eng. MoizurRehman as a Section Treasurer. In addition, Prof. Dr. Hyder Abbas Mousvi became Chair Communication Society, Eng. Tahir Saleem will continue as a Chair Power and Energy Society, Dr. Bhagwan Das, Chair Computer Society, Dr. BushraNaeem, Chair Women in Engineering, Prof. Dr. M. Shahab Siddiqui Chair, Membership Development and New Initiatives, Mr. Ramiz Ansari, Chair, Young Professional, Eng. ParkashLohana, Chair Professional Activities, Dr. M. Sadiq Khan, Education Coordinator, Dr. M. Shahid Shaikh, Chair - Conference Coordinator, and Eng. Asif Siddiqui as an Industries Linkage Coordinator. Several Section Awards were given for successfully organizing International IEEE technically sponsored conferences last year. Engr Samir Dossal, Chairman of Canada-Pakistan Business Council was the Chief Guest of award ceremony whereas Engr Saeed Setthar former Secretary and Engr Gul Hassan Bhutto were the guest of honors for the award ceremony.
