New study reveals a rise in London jobs; business Business briefing business Business briefing.

THE number of new jobs created in the city of London increased by a fifth last month, according to a new study released this week.

Recruitment firm Astbury Marsden said over 2,600 new roles were created in April following a 15 per cent dip in March.

The number of new city-based roles created per month now stands at its highest since last October, according to the latest figures.

Mark Cameron, chief operating officer at Astbury Marsden, said: "After a reasonably optimistic start to the year, recruitment at many city firms slowed in March as the market waited to see how bad the Cyprus crisis was going to get."
