New signing boost for Coventry side; CYCLE SPEEDWAY.

COVENTRY Devlins Newsagents parade new signing Allan Brown in the Midland Cycle Speedway League at Stoke tomorrow.

The former Uxbridge, Southampton and Oxford star will introduce some much needed heavyweight fire power to Coventry, back in the sport following an absence of 13 years.

Both Tim Metcalfe and Mark Giles, who missed last Sunday's 121-56 defeat at Leicester, return after injuries and are named in team manager's Steve Bromwich's squad.

Jez Hughes also returns but a blow for Coventry is that star rider Ray Oliver misses the trip to the Potteries through work commitments.

COVENTRY have been drawn away to Sandwell in the British Team Championship on April 29.
