New server system ships from NEC.
Business servers, desktops and notebook computers supplier NEC Computers (UK) Ltd has launched the NEC Express5800/420Ma blade server system.
The new offering is a 4U high, dual Intel Xeon-based blade server system that can accommodate up to six dual Intel Xeon processor blade servers. Also, up to 60 NEC Express5800/420Ma dual Intel Xeon processor blade servers can be deployed in a single 42U high rack.
A spokesperson for the company said that each blade can be hot-plugged into the enclosure without causing I/O interruption to any existing blade servers already installed and configurations can be duplicated from one server to another.
No pricing details were revealed.
