New product: environmental sorbents.

The "Zebra Zorb" line of sorbents has been introduced by ITW Devcon, Danvers, MA. Available in cellulose or polypropylene formulations, the sorbents are for use in environmental and industrial applications. The cellulose sorbents are manufactured in "Oil Only" and "Universal" styles and are fully biodegradable, compostable and incinerable to less than 1% ash. The cellulose sorbents are also made from 100% organic fiber and are safe, nontoxic, noncarcinogenic and contain no silica dust, recycled inks or dioxins.

The Oil Only cellulose sorbent is designed to separate oil and water instantly for use on waterborne spills, while the Zebra Zorb oil only polypropylene sorbent repels water and provides fast cleanup and control of most nonaqueous liquids including petroleum, petroleum-based solvents and paints, vegetable oils and most nonwater-soluble oils.
