Samena Telecommunications Council, a multi-continent telecom consortium, has announced two new changes to their management.

Bocar A Ba, senior vice-president of membership and committees, has been appointed president. Additionally, Ghassan Hasbani, partner in Booz and Company has been elected the chairman of the Strategic Marketing Committee.

"Mr Ba has repeatedly proven his passion for Samena's vision and his continued leadership and participation in driving Samena members' interest is of great importance to the council," said Thomas Wilson, CEO and executive managing director, Samena.

Samena Telecommunications Council is a tri-regional, non-profit telecommunications association that embodies a community of South Asian, Middle Eastern, and North African telecoms operators, manufacturers, regulatory authorities, and academia.
