New multilingual computer keyboard unveiled by LANCOR Technologies.

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-22 April 2005-New multilingual computer keyboard unveiled by LANCOR Technologies(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Technology solutions provider LANCOR Technologies has introduced its KONYIN Physical Multilingual Keyboard, a computer keyboard that is designed to accommodate combined character-sets for multiple language groups on a single keyboard layout.

The keyboard, which uses LANCOR Technologies' multi-function enabled kbd driver, is based on the QWERTY layout with additional spaces for 26 alphabets and 21 combining diacritical marks from any combination of languages.

The kbd driver technology removes the need to switch keyboard layouts from one language to another during regular typing, according to the company.

Models of the KONYIN Multilingual Keyboard, for Windows 2000 or above, will be available for purchase from 30 April 2005. A Macintosh version will be released in October 2005.

No pricing details were announced.
