New magazine and e-letter for promotional products industry.

The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI; New York), a not-for-profit trade association that supports the growth and professionalism of promotional consultants and suppliers, has begun the publication of "Promotional Consultant," a bi-monthly magazine, and "Promotional Consultant Today," a daily e-mail newsletter.

Launched in March, "Promotional Consultant" has a controlled circulation of 20,000 promotional professionals including industry distributors and suppliers. Described as the leading educational authority for distributor sales professionals in the products industry, the magazine carries sales-specific articles, information on industry trends, targeted strategies and case studies that are designed to help professionals "sell more, manage smarter and make their clients more successful."

"Promotional Consultant Today" is described as a quick-read, daily e-newsletter targeted to "meet the unique educational needs of distributor salespeople" with short sales tips and expert advice. Launched in late January, the e-letter is distributed to 60,000 promotion consultants.

Both publications are designed to educate distributor salespeople. Publisher and PPAI vice president Tina Berres Filipski said that, while the PPAI strives to drive buyers to distributors, "we are also dedicated to training and informing distributor salespeople to be 'promotional consultants' so they can best serve their clients."
