New government center opens in Geneseo, NY.

A dedication ceremony was held recently to mark the opening of the new Livingston County Government Center in Geneseo, New York.

The facility was designed by the MRB Group, P.C. of Rochester, New York. The Ithaca, New York office of Lehrer McGovern Bovis(LMB) was the construction manager for the project.

The new four-story, 80,000-squarefoot Government Center was built at a construction cost of $8,275,000. Construction began in September, 1991 and was completed in December, 1992. A fast-track approach was utilized to save five months on the original schedule.

Livingston County officials were so pleased with the approach that they have hired Lehrer McGovern Bovis and the MRB Group for the design and construction management of the renovation of the county courthouse in Genesco.
