New for The Big Red Boat in 1997: new land options, kids free.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1996--The Big Red Boat has added new land packages and is continuing its successful "Kids Vacation Free" promotion for 1997.

There are now five separate land packages--up from four last year--which can be combined with cruises to the Bahamas. Travelers can choose either a three- or four-day land package and combine it with a three- or four-night cruise to design their own week-long vacation.

The Big Red Boat is noted for its family vacations and cruises. The cruise line's extensive at-sea programming can be combined with five Walt Disney World and Central Florida packages: Cruise and Walt Disney Resort Vacation; Cruise and Official Vacation Hotels of Walt Disney World Vacation; Cruise and Orlando Theme Park Vacation; Cruise and Destination Universal Theme Park Vacation; and Beach Bonus.

Included with all five land packages are hotel accommodations, theme park admissions, rental car, round-trip coach air transportation from most major cities and admission to Kennedy Space Center's Spaceport USA or Wet 'n Wild. An added benefit this year is the option of bus transportation for those who do not care to drive themselves.

Rates for the seven-night cruise and vacation packages range from $899 to $2,049 for the first two guests, and from $689 to $749 for the third, fourth, or fifth guest in the same stateroom.

The Big Red Boat also announced it would offer Kids Vacation Free through 1997, a promotion that allows two children, ages 2-17, to go free when accompanied by two full-fare adults. The promotion includes free cruise, free hotel accommodations and free admission into the Orlando theme parks. A family of four can save up to $900 when booking a cruise and land vacation package. Many of the hotels in the packages also offer free meals for children as well.

"We are addressing the vacation dilemma--how to spend more quality time with your children and obtain the best vacation value for your hard-earned dollars," said Gary Sain, senior vice president of sales and marketing for The Big Red Boat.

In addition to retaining official Walt Disney World Resort hotels such as the Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin, The Hilton Resort and several other Orlando area hotels, seven new suite properties and hotels have been added to the cruise line's Walt Disney World Resort packages: Buena Vista Palace Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista, Caribe Royale Resort, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Embassy Suites International Drive and Hojo Inn Maingate.

Added for 1997 is Destination Universal which includes up to five consecutive days of unlimited admission to Universal Studios, Sea World of Florida and Wet 'n Wild with a choice of six different hotels.

Travel agents may request copies of the new brochures by calling 1-800-515-7890. More information on The Big Red Boat, also known as Premier Cruise Lines, can be found on its Web Site on the Internet at http://www.bigredboat.com.
