New flights direct to skiing.

New flights direct to skiing

For California skiers, traveling to more remote ski areas in the West is getting easier. Now, regularly scheduled direct flights on full-size jets take you to within short shuttle rides of the ski areas. The flights eliminate the need for transfers to commuter prop planes or rental cars in large major airports clogged with ski traffic (such as Denver's Stapleton International Airport).

All flights listed below are new this year or were offered for the first time last winter. Prices vary: for some flights, fares are quite reasonable; for others, you definitely pay a premium for the convenience. We've included the lowest round-trip fares at our press time.

Distances from airports to ski areas vary from 5 to 40 miles, but shuttle buses meet flights at each airport to take you to your destination for a small charge.
