New faces can bring new life to the Linnets; BURSCOUGH.

BURSCOUGH are hoping their new signings can breathe life into their relegation battle.

Manager Derek Goulding has drafted in Vauxhall Motors' Sean Highdale, Everton goalkeeper Connor Roberts and former Blues schoolboy Moses Barnett.

Roberts, on loan from Goodison Park, made his Linnets' debut in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Buxton.

Ahead of today's fixture at home to Frickley Athletic, Burscough have released Adam Farley, Ash Higgins and James McCulloch.

"We have had a reasonably good influx of new faces," said Goulding. "And that helps freshen things up.

"Those lads now need to get used to playing again.

"We may have to wait a bit for them to find match fitness, but in the meantime they can help freshen it up for us."
