New deal for Countdown.
Carol Vorderman and Richard Whiteley have signed a new deal to present Countdown for the next five years.The pair will host the Channel 4 quiz show until at least 2009.
Countdown was the first show to be broadcast on the channel back in 1982 and is still going strong with an audience of 1.3m viewers.
Carol, 43, said: "I love Countdown even more today, so even more years with Twice Nightly Whiteley will be fantastic. I am the luckiest woman on the box."
