Amie M. Sloan is President, Monica Ruiz, Treasurer, and Danni DeWoody Secretary. Kim Knapp is Membership Chair.

Barbara Hickey, Third District Trustee, and Diane Sullivan, President, Virginia DAA announce the formation of Richmond Metropolitan Dental Assistants Society. This is actually the rebirth of the Richmond Society that disbanded three years ago. ADAA is pleased to have them back. Officers include Sonia Grant, President, Angela Dailey Smith, Treasurer, Melinda Gullotti, Secretary, Veronica Oakley, Legislative Chair and Membership Chair.

As we prepare this issue, work is ongoing for the reformation of the Alaska Dental Assistants Association and the creation of the Springbrook, OR DAS.

Those interested in creating a new ADAA local component should review the article on Local Connections in the January/February 2004 Dental Assistant Journal Authored by Kimberly Bland, CDA, EFDA, and ADAA's national Secretary and Governance Chair, the article presents a step-by-step review of the formation procedure.
