New company to launch "Government Engineering" in May.

B2BMediaWorks, LLC (Waldwick, NJ), a new company formed by former executives of Public Works Journal Corp. (PWJC; Ridgewood, NJ), will begin the publication of Government Engineering magazine with a May issue. The new quarterly will have a controlled circulation of 35,000 engineers.

The title is being targeted to city and county engineers, contractors and consulting engineers involved in the design, building, operation and maintenance of streets, public transportation and highways/bridges; the collection, treatment, and delivery of potable water; the collection, treatment and release of wastewater and stormwater; the collection and disposal of solid waste; and, outdoor recreation facilities.

Editorial will include regular departments on equipment, materials and services as well as environmental issues and industry news and developments. Feature articles will cover such topics as: recycled water pipelines; technology and winter maintenance; turfgrass care and mowing; vulnerability assessment of water infrastructure; and, operations for highway projects.

B2BMediaWorks is headed by former PWJC executives Jim Kircher, president of the new company, and William Smith, current vice president. The assets of PWJC, including Public Works magazine, were sold to Hanley-Wood (Wash., D.C.) in May 2003.
