New by-laws for beauty spot.

ACTION is being taken to tackle anti-social behaviour at a South Wales beauty spot.

New by-laws have been approved for the car park and adjoining meadow at Llantwit Major's Cwm Colhugh beach, which has been blighted by vandals and drunken visitors.

The by-laws came into effect from August 14 and ban overnight parking and camping, and make it illegal to light fires.

Information signs are to be put up at the car park.

Coun Gwyn John, the Vale council's cabinet member for leisure and parks, said: "These by-laws mean that anti-social behaviour will be addressed and will prevent any recurrence of the problems seen in the past."
