New board members to help law firm double turnover.
A HUDDERSFIELD town centre law firm has appointed two new board members as it plans to double turnover.
Ridley & Hall, based in Market Street, has appointed Emma Pearmaine and Anthony Elston. Both have joined from Simpson Millar, where Emma was director of family services and Anthony Elston was finance director.
Ridley & Hall, which celebrates its 90th birthday later this month, employs 60 people and turned over PS2.5m in 2016. The firm aims to reach PS5m turnover in 2020.
Managing director Adam Fletcher said: "We are all excited about what our new management team can achieve and feel confident in our expansion plans.
"2016 was a record year resulting from the superb performances by my fellow directors Nigel Priestley, James Cook, Sarah Young and our staff.
"We have now turned our attention towards driving growth through strategic acquisitions and recruitment of further key individuals."
He said: "This is a significant development for the firm. We are investing in the future of the business and believe we can strike the ideal balance with the help of Emma and Anthony on our Board."
Emma began her career in Huddersfield and was named Modern Lawyer of the Year in 2014 for building a PS3m family law practice at Simpson Millar. Antony is Ridley & Hall's first finance director. He was partner and finance director at SIMPSON Millar, where he helped the firm grow from PS11m turnover in 2011 to PS17m turnover in 2014.
