New appointment at University of Colorado.

Kevin Woelfel, musician and entrepreneur, recently was appointed director of the Entrepreneurship Center for Music in the University of Colorado at Boulder's (CU-Boulder) College of Music, succeeding Interim Director Michael Millar.

Woelfel's career in the music industry has included performance, composition and manufacturing. He was third/assistant principal trumpet with the Spokane Symphony and also performed with the Chicago Lyric Opera, Grant Park Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony, Sacramento Symphony, Aspen Festival Orchestra and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.

As a composer and arranger, Woelfel was with the U.S. Air Force band stationed in Vacaville, California, and Yokota, Japan. An entrepreneur, Woelfel has founded two manufacturing companies, WolfPak Incorporated and Rocky Mountain Case Works.
