New apparel network member.

The Kattan Group, founded in 1920 and headed Jacobo Kattan, has joined the American Apparel Producers Network (AAPN). The Kattan Group owns more than 1.2 million sq ft. manufacturing space in which it produces a wide range of tops and bottoms in both wovens and knits. It also has an art screen printing and embroidery center, plus cutting facilities and a wet processing operation including sand blasting, grinding and other processes. "We are GAP Approved and also approved by Gear, Nike, Sara Lee and PVH," the company reports, adding "We have received awards and recognition from such brands as PVH and MAST.
