New Zealand : AIR NEW ZEALAND rolls out mobile booking service for its customers.

Customers of Air New Zealand will now be able to book domestic tickets on the fly, using their smartphone s web browser or via the airline s mobile travel app mPass.

Acting as an electronic boarding pass, the mPass app allows customers to receive up to date flight information in real time. It also manages existing bookings, checks Airpoints Dollars account balance and even checks airport maps and travel information.

On continuous basis, the airline is in effort at seeking ways to enhance the customer experience from booking through to arrival, said, Air New Zealand GM of Customer Experience Calum Laming.

He added, The new mobile booking system has been developed in-house and will enable our customers to book their domestic flights quickly and easily from their mobile phone.

Laming said, Based on initial feedback we certainly expect the system to be popular among customers and plan to expand mobile technology later in the year, including introducing mobile booking for international flights.

The application comes without any charge and available to download onto iPhone or Android phones via the relevant app store by searching for mPass .
