New York Home Textiles Show honors innovative new products.

NEW YORK -- V Rugs & Home's U-shaped Bedwrap rug was awarded Best of Show at the New York Home Textiles Show, at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion.

Best New Product Award honors were presented in the bed, dining and home accessories categories. Winners were selected by a panel of editors based on innovative design, product solution, aesthetic appeal, creativity and new material or technology.

Winners included the following--dining: Luis De Sousa LDA, for its organdy tablecloth; home accessories: Shades of India, for its hand-cut silk/velvet cutout cushion cover; bed: Lucinda Lee, for its silk, hand-embroidered Wild Iris ensemble.

"These winners all stand out in a competitive field of outstanding home fashion products," said Rita Malek, show manager. "The New York Home Textiles Show is honored to have a role in bringing these innovative new products to the market."

The event featured some 40 exhibitors showcasing bed, bath, linen and home accessories products. The show's next edition is scheduled to run Aug. 12 to 16 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
