New X64 operating systems offered support by Symantec.
INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDSymantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), an information security provider, has announced that Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0 will support Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions.
The anti-virus product will provide automatic defence and response against spyware, viruses and worms for users of Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions.
The scalable centralised management and response capabilities provided by the product are designed to maximize uptime and minimise costs, whilst providing customers with control and protection for desktop and network servers. Current customers with valid maintenance agreements will be entitled to upgrade at no incremental cost.
