New Wall profile weighs heavily on Versa-Lok.

Versa-Lok Retaining Wall Systems has added the Bronco II to its licensed production offering, engineering the block with heft and coverage to tackle many conditions. Units display 6 sq. ft. of surface area with a 3.2-degree batter, and weigh from 1,220 to 3,215 lbs. or 1,450 to 3,820 lbs. with cores filled. Alignment knobs and channels molded into the top and bottom of units ensure correct near-vertical positioning and allow for tight joints with variable-bond construction.

The Bronco II system comprises three units with varying depth plus half, cap and left/right corner stones. They can be used to build walls up to 15 feet tall without soil reinforcement, making the system suited to projects with excavation constraints. The system likewise accommodates geogrid, such as Versa-Grid, for taller structures.

With near-vertical construction and variable bond, Versa-Lok officials note, the Bronco II system is more versatile than comparable products. After installation, the natural stone appearance of the wall face can be enhanced with stain to blend into the natural environment.--Versa-Lok Retaining Wall Systems, Oakdale, Minn., 800/770-4525; www.versa-lok.com
