New Vision has confectionery wrapped up.
However, it was also the first year that they were also appointed to work on the premium range as well, representing the company's ability to source materials competitively in the UK. The premium offering is made up of two products--a Belgium chocolate assortment and a collection of coffee flavoured chocolates.
Each of the eight packs in the core range featured a folding boxboard structure, with clear plastic windows and using recycled PET for selected products. The two premium range packs are constructed using 1000-micron white-lined rigid boards, and recycled PET. New Vision Packaging completed the contract in the space of five months.
Stephen Shortland, Managing Drector at New Vision Packaging, said that feedback from the client had been overwhelmingly positive: "We have a longstanding relationship with Waitrose and they have been with us since the company started in 2006. It is rewarding that they come back to us year-after-year and that we are now in a position to handle the premium range too.
"As part of the process, we send samples of our work to the company that oversees all of Waitrose's packaging, for quality control purposes. Not only did we meet the grade, they were so impressed with what we had achieved that our work will now be used to set the standard for other categories too."
Karen Graley, Manager, Packaging and Reprographics at Waitrose, added:
"Over the years we have been really pleased with the work that New Vision Packaging has carried out for us and the development of our seasonal selection last year has been fantastic. They are very easy to work with, have an open mind when it comes to development, and we look forward to working with them further to achieve the challenging packaging targets we have set ourselves."
