New Releases of SuSE Linux, K Desktop Environment.

European Linux distributor SuSE Inc has released SuSE Linux 6.1, the first SuSE operating system to be based on version 2.2.5 of the Linux kernel. The release comes bundled with a choice of the K Desktop Environment (KDE) 1.1 and GNOME 1.0, as well as StarOffice 5 and Corel WordPerfect 8. That said, the KDE Team has already outpaced SuSE by announcing KDE 1.1.1, with better integration between the korganizer, a calendaring and scheduling application, and the kpilot Palm synchronization tool. The team says KDE's internet connectivity and stability have also improved in this release.
