New Pike & Fischer information service on criminal law.
The new information service includes: a set of reference materials, updated quarterly; a subscription to Criminal Practice Report newsletter, published 26 times a year to carry briefings on the decisions, developments and news relevant to criminal practitioners; and, the monthly Practice Guide, a report covering one specific criminal law topic and including documents, transcripts and commentary.
Targeted to "anyone practicing criminal law," Pike & Fischer said the service includes practice aids, overviews of policies and practices, case law and commentary of major or significant trials, motions, trial transcripts, sample plea provisions, jury instructions and checklists.
The accompanying Web site, criminal-practice.pf.com, carries the entire contents of the manual and archives of the Report and Practice Guide, with links to relevant news articles. A CD-ROM version allows subscribers to search the database, load materials to a laptop, use sample motions, checklist and Practice Aids. It also contains an archive of the monthly Practice Guides and all issues of Criminal Practice Report from January 1996. A charter annual subscription costs $370; a regular subscription will cost $570.
