New Maxitweet service extends Twitter character limit.
New Zealand-based web development company FrisianStyle Production has announced a new Twitter service, http://www.maxitweet.com, which extends the 140-character limit using Unicode characters.
For example, in the word 'lions' two characters are saved by replacing the vowels with a Cyrillic letter resembling 'io', followed by the Unicode symbol for nanosecond 'ns'.
'Maxitweets' can be up to 200 characters long, an increase of nearly 50%.
