New Laminate Collection from Nevamar: a Flying Leap from the Ordinary.

ODENTON, Md. -- The new laminate collection from Nevamar is full of striking designs, woodgrains and colors - a flying leap from the ordinary! One dozen new designs inspired by worldwide influences headline a collection tailor-made for inspired design.

Reflective of Nevamar's exciting new laminate choices is Sasanami. Inspired by precious metal used in Japanese jewelry, it's a magical mix of gold, silver, copper and blue. It's a contrast in harmony - warm versus cool - and yet it seems in perfect balance. Viewing this pattern, a strong sense of movement occurs ... it really takes off with the imagination!

Nevamar's collection also features striking woodgrain patterns of uncommon woodgrain structures and unusual colorations for a dramatic statement, especially when paired with certain neutrals. They reflect an appreciation for the need to protect old-growth forests and preserve exotic species. One such "exotic" woodgrain is Bubinga, an Equatorial African rosewood. It's a rich brown-red, with orange and hints of purple veining evident in the grain.

The Labyrinth series is remindful of rattan, yet it can be viewed as a loosely woven textile. It includes three colorways. Enchanted Labyrinth possesses alluring properties of red mixed with the masculine strength of brown. Lush Labyrinth is an intense yellow-green hue, while Mythical Labyrinth is a sophisticated, almost surreal brown.

Nevamar is also expanding colorways in several existing patterns. Expanding on its widely popular Rock series, Indie Rock incorporates green, blue, and tonalities of gray. It's an amazingly versatile concrete-like coloration that absolutely defies definition. In marked contrast, Rollin' Rock possesses a deep-earth hue that conveys a sense of strength and solidity.

Nevamar's popular Allusion pattern series is getting a jolt this year with new Viva! Allusion. Its vibrant red-orange coloration is sure to get noticed in design environments, including education, retail, and entertainment ... and jazzed-up residential interiors.

Terrie O'Dell, senior product design manager, stated, "Our new collection adds even more depth and definition to our full laminate line. It's all about designing with emotion and giving designers all they need to create spaces that really connect with people. It's all about taking a flying leap - and discovering that you've landed in a place filled with compelling design choices!"

All new patterns are available in high pressure laminates as well as LamMates(TM) TFM (thermofused melamine) panels. Nevamar(R) high pressure laminates offer years of easy-care performance due to the exclusive, award-winning Armored Protection(TM) Surface, which gives the laminates superior durability, abrasion and scuff-resistant properties. This results in retention of the pattern clarity and a "brand new" appearance for a much longer period of time.
