New LP volumetric liquid filler.

"HEMA U.S.A. INC." will introduce the new LP volumetric liquid filler at PACK EXPO 92 -- The World of Packaging Technology, November 8-12, 1992, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. (Booth # E-2908-East Building)

Although introduced in Europe less than a year ago, over 20 liquid fillers have already been sold to some of the major European companies. They are designed to fill liquid and semi-liquid products into a wide variety of containers. Flexibility, versatility, clean fill, excellent accuracies, cleanliness and easy maintenance are some of the features incorporated in the design."

HEMA works closely with customers to examine their needs and respond with the widest variety of filling machines in the industry. Consequently, the Hema's Liquid type Rotary Piston fillers have been designed with features desired by both the food and non-food industries.

Some of the many features are:

1) Flexibility for a variety of product characteristics. Foaming as well as non-foaming liquids can be handled with special delivery nozzles or bottom fill. Pure liquids and sauces as well as liquids and sauces with particulates can be handled.

2) Flexibility for a wide range of container sizes, shapes and material. Glass and plastic bottles, glass jars, metal cans, either round or odd-shaped, are only an example of containers that are being filled efficiently everyday by our fillers. We have emphasized quick container change over with an automatic adjustable pocket system which replaces the central starwheel, only requiring the manual change over of the infeed screw and input starwheel which are also mounted with quick release mechanisms for very rapid change over.

3) Several mode sizes are available which are sized ad offered according to the product ad the desired production speed, up to 2000 containers per minute, to coordinate the entire line speed, with 4 to 80 filling heads.

4) Clean filled containers are the predominant feature of our fillers.

5) No bead or top surface of container in contact with fill heads.

6) Cleaning and maintenance of the filler is enhanced by a cleaning assist feature requiring no manual handling of the various product contact parts being cleaned.

7) Excellent accuracies due to tight machining and manufacturing tolerances ad design.

8) The fillers can be controlled through a programmable controller, including fill volume settings, automated cleanup cycles, and integration to the line.
