New Internet portal launched by Qualiflyer group airlines.

A new online travel portal called Beyoo is being launched by SAirGroup, the parent company of Swissair, and its alliance partners.

The site will allow visitors to book flights with the 11 members of the Qualiflyer alliance of airlines as well as hundreds of other competing carriers according to Reuters.

SAirGroup will hold a majority stake in the joint venture, with the other Qualiflyer members holing minority stakes. SAirGroup has also indicated that it is open to joint ventures with other enterprises and indicated that the name of the venture bore no association with airlines so that other businesses could also join the project later on.

Beyoo will offer bookings for more than 537 airlines, over 45,000 hotels and 38 rental car companies. Customers can also book vacation packages or rail travel through the portal.

Members of the Qualiflyer group include Swissair, Belgian carrier Sabena, Swiss regional carrier Crossair, TAP Air Portugal, Portugalia, Turkish Airlines, France's AOM and Air Littoral, LOT Polish Airlines, and Italy's Volare and Air Europe.
