New CoreNet chair.

CoreNet Global, the international association of corporate real estate professionals, announced the election of Jeffrey Elie as chairman of the board of directors for the 7,500-member association.

The announcement was made at the CoreNet Global Toronto Summit. Elie--who will succeed Leslie Whatley--is vice president of Real Estate and Facilities for Kaplan Inc. in New York City.

Other officers who assumed their posts at the close of the Toronto Global Summit are Mark Golan, of Cisco Systems Inc., chair-elect, and John Igoe, SARES REGIS Group, Treasurer.
