New Call Technologies Software Enables Accurate Pager Notification With Any Voicemail System.

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 1998--Call Technologies Inc., a leading provider of enhanced messaging and service management systems, yesterday announced the release of Call Cadence(TM), an automated system that facilitates provisioning of pager notification on service provider voicemail systems.

Call Cadence was developed in conjunction with a Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) and allows pager notification with any voice mail system or pager type.

According to Rich LaPerch, Vice President of Call Technologies, "Most pager subscribers want to be notified as soon as a message is left in their mailbox. In the past, service providers were unable to reliably provision voicemail systems for pager notification.

Because there are so many different types of pagers, many automated systems simply could not provision them with any degree of accuracy."

LaPerch said, "Given the complexities involved, it's been very difficult for service providers to offer pager notification to subscribers.

"The Call Cadence application, through the use of an interactive voice response (IVR) system, allows subscribers to establish pager notification from their messaging mailbox. We fully expect that this system will profit service providers by adding revenue and reducing churn."

Call Cadence works in any service provider environment with any messaging system. It operates as a peripheral in the service provider's network. Subscribers call into the system to activate pager notification for their mailbox.

Call Cadence verifies subscriber identification, records the events needed to send a page and provisions the system. The end result is a user-friendly, cost-effective, simple solution to a previously complex problem.

As with all Call Technologies enhanced services software, Call Cadence runs on the flexible Call Builder(TM) service creation environment platform. Call Builder is available in Windows NT or UNIX format. Call Cadence functions separately or bundled with a suite of Call Courier(TM) unified messaging applications.

With offices located in the high-tech Dulles corridor (Reston), Call Technologies Inc. is a leader in hardware-independent, value-added enhanced service software and operational support systems for telecommunications service providers. It provides a comprehensive suite of messaging, provisioning and service assurance systems.

Call Technologies' family of open system products enable wireline and wireless telecommunications service providers to deliver innovative revenue-producing network management and messaging systems more quickly and at lower cost than proprietary competitive solutions.
