New COO at Sunshine Group.

Louise Sunshine, chairperson and CEO for The Sunshine Group, Ltd., today announced the appointment of Charles Reiss as president and chief operating officer for the organization.

"We are extremely pleased that Charlie Reiss will be joining us as president and chief operating officer," said Sunshine.

"He represents the industry's gold standard in terms of reputation and professionalism. He is a gifted developer, distinguished teacher, top-tier administrator and an energetic, creative and dynamic leader. I will work closely with Charlie to continue building our organization and to explore new areas of opportunity."

The Sunshine Group, established in 1986 by Sunshine, is one of the nation's premier marketing, leasing and sales organizations for luxury condominium residences and hotels.

The organization was acquired in 2002 by NRT Incorporated, the nation's largest residential real estate brokerage company and a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation. Adding NRT's strength and reach has quickly paid significant dividends.

In 2002, The Sunshine Group had approximately $2 billion in various residential developments under sales and marketing contracts. It has since registered a four-fold increase with more than $8 billion in luxury developments under contract today. The organization has also attracted more than 20 highly regarded industry professionals in the same time period.

"Charlie's extraordinary abilities and breadth and range of experience will be particularly helpful in managing--and continuing--our record growth," Sunshine said.

"With Charlie at my side, I am confident that The Sunshine Group will find new ways to continue to be the company to outperform, outdo and outshine all the others--the possibilities are unlimited."

Reiss was formerly senior vice president of development for The Trump Organization where he was most recently responsible for developing the 90-story, 2.5 million square feet Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago.

Prior to that, Reiss was director of the Columbia University School of Real Estate Management where he greatly increased admissions and faculty, and taught graduate level courses.

As president and CEO of Housing Futures, he counseled some of New York City's leading development organizations, including such governmental entities as the Battery Park City Authority.

Reiss has also held high-level positions in the city's planning and housing agencies.

He is married to Marcia Reiss, an author of books on New York and architectural history. They have two grown children, Dr. Juliana Reiss, a clinical psychologist in Pittsfield, Mass., and Peter Reiss, a Boston-based architect.

The Sunshine Group is a member of the NRT family of companies. NRT Incorporated is a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation.
