New CNC rotary transfer hikes tool change time.
Called Kaufmanflex 2000 Gold, this system features a 36,000-position rotating pallet for its B-axis positioning. As the manufacturer notes, it's ready to meet the real-world demands of autodom.
Three Hirth coupling four-, six-, or eight-spindle turret heads on axis slide assemblies are designed to improve tool change time. Moving at 1180 ipm, the slaide assemblies bring speed and precision to the machining of parts such as automtotive steering knuckles, compressor housings, master cylinder, and hydraulic pump bodies and valves that fit in a 10" or 15" cube.
All these system allow for five-sided piece-part machining including compound angle holes, under an Indramat MT-CNC controlled system that facilitates last-minute product design changes and process capability demands.
