New Boundary Technologies Provides Automated Remediation for Lockdown Networks NAC Offering.
MINNEAPOLIS -- New Boundary Technologies[R], an award-winning provider of automated configuration and security management solutions, today announced a partnership with Lockdown Networks[R], the leading provider of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions. New Boundary Technologies will enable its Policy Commander[TM] security policy management solution for Lockdown Networks' open iNAC[R] (intelligent network access control) architecture.
Within the iNAC architecture, Policy Commander serves as a quarantine and remediation server that performs immediate, automated remediation of devices deemed non-compliant by Lockdown Enforcer[TM]. By fully automating the remediation of non-compliant systems, users can quickly and securely access the network without the need for manual configuration tasks or calls to the help desk. Working together, Policy Commander and Lockdown Enforcer allow organizations to fully automate the tasks associated with compliance assessment, security policy implementation and enforcement, and security configuration remediation.
"We are very excited to partner with New Boundary Technologies as we share a mutual commitment to delivering network security solutions that help organizations improve their security posture, while preserving a great user experience," said Brett Helsel, chief executive officer of Lockdown Networks. "Integrating New Boundary Technologies' leading-edge automated security configuration management through the iNAC architecture makes a lot of sense for customers deploying network access control, as it can significantly improve the end-user experience."
Designed to serve the needs of security officers and IT professionals, Policy Commander automatically controls computer configuration settings for maximum security by continuously monitoring and enforcing computer security policies. Leveraging automated Smart Update[TM] technology and a dynamic policy format, Policy Commander fully automates targeting policies to computers based on role, desired security level, and other selectable parameters. It then strictly enforces assigned security policies, automatically reverting non-compliant systems to their desired compliance state.
"Enabling Policy Commander for the iNAC architecture allows us to extend its functionality within a flexible network access control framework," said Kim Pearson, chief executive officer of New Boundary Technologies. "Organizations of all sizes share a need to protect their IT systems and confidential information from the myriad security threats that exist today, and to do so within the constraints of their budget and resources. This partnership allows New Boundary Technologies and Lockdown Networks to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable security solutions that will help organizations achieve their mission critical IT security initiatives."
