New American Automotive Policy Council Website a "One-Stop Shop" for News and Information on America's Auto Companies.

WASHINGTON -- The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) today announced the launch of its new website,, to highlight the economic contribution that the U.S.-based auto companies make to the American economy and to provide a "one-stop shop" for information on auto manufacturing policy issues.

Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company created the AAPC to highlight the three companies' productive work in taking the lead in advanced, green technologies and rebuilding a strong basis and support for keeping manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

"As the only organization that exclusively represents U.S.-based auto companies, we are focused on promoting our members' innovation, research and technology development, which will be a major contributor to America's economic leadership in the 21st century," said AAPC President Stephen Collins. "The U.S. remains the world's largest manufacturer, and our companies are the core of U.S. manufacturing, generating millions of American jobs. In fact, our industry generates more manufacturing jobs, trade, R&D and retail business than any other industry."
