New America Network handles second lease for Airborne.

Using the services of New America Network, Inc., real estate's largest network of office brokerages, Airborne Express has completed its second major real estate transaction in Nassau County, Long Island, New York, this year.

The overnight delivery company has signed a $5 million lease on a 78,000-square-foot site in Inwood, New York, that will serve as its distribution center for southern Nassau. In January, Airborne moved into a newly-constructed 30,000-square-foot facilty in Hicksville that is its distribution center for central Nassau.

The Inwood lease and the build-to-suit construction and lease in Hicksville were both arranged by Lawrence J. Bianco, vice president of Schackorker Real Estate Corp., the New America member in Melville, New Y. Both were initiated by New America Corporate Services Vice President David Blanchard, who manages New America's account with Airborne.

Airborne expects by May to be moved into the Inwood site at 475 Doughty Boulevard. Owner ChasanoffProperties of Jericho, New York, is retrofitting the property to Airborne's specifications. Airbornes's Hicksville facility on Cantiague Rock Road was built and is owned by Spiegel Associates.
