Computer company Apple has announced that it has updated its AirPort Express mobile base station with 802.11n.

The company said that the new version of AirPort Express is able to deliver up to five times the performance and twice the range of the previous model.

AirPort Express is reportedly the world's smallest 802.11n-based mobile base station and can be plugged directly into the wall for wireless Internet connectivity and USB printing.

The product also features AirTunes, which works with iTunes to provide users with a way to wirelessly stream iTunes music from a PC or Mac.

The product is priced at GBP65, including VAT, and is available immediately.
