Neurontin: 40,000 bottles recalled.

Pfizer Inc. has voluntarily recalled one lot of 100-mg capsules of Neurontin (gabapentin) because of a mechanical failure that resulted in some empty or partially filled capsules.

The recall affects about 40,000 bottles of the capsules. The affected lot number is 15224V.

Bottles from this lot were distributed in the United States in October and November of last year.

The drug is indicated for use as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures with and without secondary generalization in adults with epilepsy.
