Nemanja Vidic has named Manchester United's 4-1 defeat by Manchester City in September 2013 as his worst performance in a Red Devils shirt.
United were humbled at the Etihad as City raced into a 4-0 lead after just five minutes of the second half before Wayne Rooney added a late consolation for the visitors.
Sergio Aguero struck twice for City with Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri also finding the net in a humbling introduction to the fixture for David Moyes.
Moyes would last just the solitary season at Old Trafford and it would also turn out to be Vidic's last of a legendary United career.
"I played against Aguero when they beat us 4-1 in the Moyes season," the Serb toldThe Athletic.
"That was my worst game for United. I know I'm supposed to choose those two final defeats toBarcelonaand they were horrible to lose. That one in Rome, and Wembley was even tougher.
"We had a great team in 2009. We could've done better. We were the European and world champions, Barcelona were more scared of us than we were of them."
Vidic spent nine seasons at United, forging one of the all-time great central defensive partnerships with Rio Ferdinand.
Despite the two Champions League final defeats to Barcelona he mentioned, he did managed to land the European crown in 2008 as well as five Premier League titles and three League Cups.
