Nelson gets 1991 Industry Service Award

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) awarded Robert Nelson, chairman and chief executive officer, Nelson Communications, its 1991 NBWA Industrial Service Award.

Nelson was presented with the award at the NBWA's annual meeting held this year in Las Vegas, NV.

The Service Award recipient was cited for his agency's 10 years of service to the beer industry and beer consumers, including a national advertising program against an increase in alcohol taxes, development of the strategy and advertising that defeated California's "nickel-a-drink" tax, and creation and promotion of Beer Drinkers of America.

Also receiving an award was Henry King, who, until his retirement, served the beer industry for 22 years as president of the United States Brewers Association--the oldest continually operated trade group in the country.
